Half Moone Wedding Norfolk Va
After a few weeks of delay, I’m finally sharing this beautiful wedding on the blog! Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center is becoming a venue that I just LOVE! We were grateful to have photographed two wedding here within a week of each other and they were both amazing!
As you all know, Cylenthia and Sean-Michael are just an amazingly gorgeous couple! I photographed their engagement session at CNU and got so many comments on how beautiful these two were. So, naturally, I knew their wedding was going to be phenomenal!
On their wedding day, the weather was perfect and everyone was excited! Cylenthia and her bridesmaids really enjoying this incredible day and I must say that I didn’t see anyone stressed out! Her girls laughed with her, shed tears for her, and cheered her on throughout the day! I can honestly say the same for the fellas! When you have an amazing group of people who support you on your wedding day, it makes all the difference.
As the ceremony start time drew near, I was completely antsy! Why? Because Cylenthia was such a STUNNER and I couldn’t wait for Sean-Michael to see her as a bride! Not only is she the prettiest thing ever, the cathedral veil she wore, that belonged to her mother, took everyone’s breath away! I loved the point that her hairstylist made. She said “You mother wore this on her wedding day and has had such a long and successful marriage. Now it’s like she is passing the mantle on to you.” That veil wasn’t just a pretty piece of lace. It signifies so much more.
There is Nothing on Earth More Beautiful Than a Bride
As the ceremony began, there was an audible gasp as Cylenthia walked down the aisle. As I turn to photograph Sean’s reaction, I noticed that he kept looking away to compose his thoughts. You guys….that’s how beautiful this girl is!!!
As Cylenthia’s dad officiated over their wedding, they said their vows and made their promises of love. After the ceremony, we took their first pictures as husband and wife in the most beautiful light! How lucky are we do get the most amazing couples!
After portraits we went right into the reception. At this point, I knew the party was about to go down! You see, Cylenthia and Sean-Michael are both members of the Divine Nine. Cylenthia being a beautiful AKA and Sean-Michael being a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. If you have never seen any of these organizations “step”…I suggest you go on youtube and binge watch their step shows! It’s amazing! When Sean-Michael and his frat brothers took to the floor, the WHOLE building shock, and I am not exaggerating! It was so incredible and fun to see!
And They Danced the Night Away…
Along with family and friends, these two celebrated their union throughout the night with dancing, laughter, and more stepping! I am so happy for Cylenthia and Sean-Michael and we wish them many years of happiness and success! So, in an effort to stop myself from going on and on about their wedding, I am pleased to share with everyone our highlights from their wedding day! Enjoy!

This image below is one of my favorites. Once wedding party portraits are over, most bridesmaids rightfully go off to enjoy cocktail hour. Not this bunch! They stayed with their bride during her bride and groom portraits and cheered her one, hyped her up, and made sure nothing was out of place!
