Haldi Indian Wedding Ceremony Photography
This was my first opportunity doing a Haldi Indian Wedding Ceremony Photography and I loved every bit of it! Natasha contacted me to photograph her Haldi, which is a pre-wedding event where her family and close friends gather at her house to bless and pray for her before she gets married! The word “Haldi” means “turmeric” and during the Haldi ceremony, her family will cleanse her with turmeric in order to bless her before she gets married. Photographing this event was a joy! I appreciated the fact that I really had to focus on photographing “in the moment” as almost nothing was posed! This is a joyful event and so many things are going on all around you!
One thing I love the most about being a wedding photographer is learning about other cultures and traditions. Weddings are celebrated in so many beautiful and different ways but one things that remains consistent is love.
