Norfolk Freemason District Engagement Session
We first met Erin and Justin when we sat down for coffee to talk about their wedding! They were both very down to earth and we had an amazing time talking with them! I honestly couldn’t wait to get these two in front of the camera for their engagement session!
Erin and Justin met during their first year at the University of Virginia. They started out as just close friends but ended up taken a history course together during the second semester and that’s when things started to pick up!! In Justin’s “attempt to move out of the friend-zone”, convinced her to be his study partner and lunch buddy. (Seriously though, doesn’t Justin sound like the sweetest!!??) . Eventually they decided to go out on a date. They date turned into then staying in and talking for hours on end.
One thing that impressed, and intimidated, Justin was the fact that Erin knew more about college basketball than he did!! A few weeks later Justin asked Erin to be his date to the Foxfield Horse Races and she agreed! After that date, they have been together ever since (5 years strong!!!)
I just adore these two! Their engagement session happened to be on a cloudy day but they definitely brought brightness and joy to all of their images! We look forward to their October wedding at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Arts!

FUN FACT #1 – In an attempt to win over Erin, Justin brought out his old P90X intense workout DVDs and started working out again. Well, he ended up getting acute kidney failure from the workout and was in the hospital for a week!! To impress the girl of his dreams, Justin said it was definitely worth it!
FUN FACT #2 – On their way to Cookout on their first date, and being a big bundle of nerves, Erin stopped at not just one, but two green lights!
