Boathouse at Sunday Park Engagement Session
I am SO excited to share this engagement session!! You have no IDEA! Katherine and Michael, again, are the perfect example of couples we LOVE to work with! They are fun, excited about what’s ahead, GORGEOUS, and they have the most kind hearts! I feel blessed to look ahead to 2020 with more amazing couples.
Their engagement session took me to a new place called The Boathouse at Sunday Park. Katherine and Michael chose this spot because it will be the getting married at this same location. It’s also a place they visit often.
This beautiful venue is a harbor for small boats. It sit’s right on the water surrounded by fine trees and rocks lining its shore. I know that the Boathouse is beautiful in any season but the fall tends to bring out the best in places. Not only was the fall foliage at its peak for their engagement session, but the weather was a gray overcast which, in my opinion, makes images even more lovely.
Katherine and Michael currently live in Detroit, Michigan where she is an optometrist and he is in the throws of medical school. Since they were both going to be in Virginia for thanksgiving, we decided to block off a few extra days for their engagement session in order to give ourselves breathing room in case of bad weather. Well, the whole weekend was wet and rainy but, despite the dull forecast, their engagement session was full of life, laughter and love.

Share extra images of this sweet dog, Beamer. He was so excited to be outside to chase squirrels, only to realize he couldn’t play cause he had to take pictures with is mom and dad. His face is priceless!
